Ps 28:6-9 Praise be to the LORD,for he has heard my cry for mercy. The LORD is my strength and my shield;my heart trusts in him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song. The LORD is the strength of his people,a fortress of salvation for his anointed one. Save your people and bless your inheritance; be their shepherd and carry them forever.

This song was actually written several years ago but found new meaning when my father passed away in March of 2007 after an exteneded battle with cancer. My daughter and I ministered with it at his funeral so I had her record it for the Songbook while she was home from school. If you find yourself in the middle of one of life's many storms, if you find your strength is fading and you can no longer stand, it is my prayer that as you listen to this song that it will point you to the One whose strength never fails. The Rock, your sure Foundation. Trust in Him and let His strength get you through this difficult time.
